Description
From the collection: ‘Tranquility in the Wilderness’.
This part of Wales is full of windy, narrow lanes with ancient hedges and stone walls poking through the undergrowth. In the late summer, when all the fields are golden, the random stones make contrasting patterns and colours to the vegetation. Covered in lichens and mosses, they are a vibrant splash of colour as the autumn begins to fade the plant life. In this piece I have tried to capture the cut hay fields in the distance, whilst the wall has provided a sanctuary for the wild grasses at the field’s edge.
I have used acrylic paint on canvas.
