Part of the ‘Distant Horizons’ collection.

When you are walking the Pembrokeshire hills, you find your senses assailed by the scents, colours and sounds of this wonderful part of the world. The rich yellows, oranges and purples of the gorse and heather. The skylarks singing and the wind soughing. You can almost taste the thick tropical smell of coconut as you pass the gorse thickets. And above it all, the wide open sky, that changes constantly, bringing a wonderful sense of wildness and freedom.

I have used vibrant acrylic pigments and bold sweeping brushstrokes to evoke the wildness I felt walking in this landscape.
