The ‘mini-canvas’ series.
I painted this recently using some photos I’d taken on a lakeside walk last autumn. There was a break in the windy weather, the skies had cleared and the setting sunlight was almost perfectly reflected in the lake. Whilst I sat taking it all in, a blackbird sang in the trees above. A perfect accompaniment to the beautiful view.
