These hollow hills.
The landscape of the Black Mountain, where I spend much of my time, is an amazing combination of natural formations created over the Milennia by water, and the remains of ancient man-made mining activities. Huge areas hollowed out, reclaimed by nature through the ages, creating this rugged, wonderfully wild landscape.
This collection evokes the raw, gnarly mountain: hollow, heavily textured spherical forms, glazed using wood from the mountainside to create subtle earthy glazes.
