From the collection: ‘Tranquility in the wilderness’.
On those days when you’re out walking when the sun sets. The light fades and everything is painted in shades of purple and blue, but suddenly there is a last flash of light as the sun falls below the clouds, and it is reflected off the lake like a spotlight, silhouetting the rushes in the water. In that briefest of moments, you mustn’t blink, you try to commit it to memory, before it is gone.
I’ve used a texture paste in this work to give the ripples a three dimensional aspect.
