Description
The woodlands and hedgerows of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire are blanketed with these beautiful flowers in the late summer. Just when you think the colourful seasons have finished, Foxgloves bloom in a riot of pinks and purples. I love watching the bumble bees completely disappear up inside the flowers to forage, and the way the plants nod and bend in the coastal breezes, yet they never seem to break. I’ve tried to capture the abundance of the Foxgloves in this design, and the way they are never under-stated in their numbers or beauty.
We know Foxgloves are generally pink, but there are no rules: you can have this design in the colour way of your choice to enhance your home. Original hand painted lampshade on calico.
