From the collection: ‘Tranquility in the Wilderness’.
On windy, cloudy days, you can be brought to a stop by the sun suddenly shining between breaks in the clouds. The shafts of light are like spotlights, and make the colours of the landscape seem extra vibrant and rich.
I have used acrylic on canvas board, and used pastels and gold leaf to try to capture the idea of bright light and colour.
