Description
Part of the ‘Tranquility in the wilderness’ collection.
The lily-pools in Bosherston in south Pembrokeshire are a sight to behold in the summer. The huge lakes are covered in carpets of bright magenta lily flowers and they appear to float on the sky which is reflected in the water. In the shadows you catch glimpses of pike, and moorhens run across the lily-pads, disturbing the reflections, so that the flowers look distorted for a moment.
In this piece, i’ve tried to capture the colours and the random shapes as the reflections are disturbed.
