Description
Part of the ‘Tranquility in the wilderness’ collection.
On stormy days, the skies are dark and brooding and the wind sweeps the landscape. As the storms pass, the clouds part to let amazing shafts of sunlight through- these are like spotlights. Where they fall, the colours of the landscape are so intense and almost glow from within. I love seeing how Mother Nature turns the saturation up to the max, and trying to capture this in my paintings.
I have used gold leaf in this painting, to capture the way the light glows off the landscape.
