Description

In the south of St Bride’s Bay, Pembrokeshire, is an outcrop of rocks where we have had some spectacular dives. I was standing on Broadhaven Beach looking out at the silhouette of Stack Rocks, thinking about the amazing underwater life we’ve seen there, when the setting sun coming from behind the clouds was suddenly reflected in the waters of the ebbing tide on the sand. The clouds became back lit in gold, and the sand was a mirror of all that was happening above. It was simply amazing.

I have used wet and fluid acrylics to try to capture the way the colours blurred together, especially in the beautiful clouds that evening.
