Part of the collection: ‘Tranquility in the Wilderness’.
This painting was inspired by a walk along Chesil Beach where the tide reaches the lagoon behind the beach through a little stream. As we walked along the pebbles, we could hear the water trickling through the stones to join the stream and then on into the lagoon- it was a melodic sound, and quite magical. The river was singing as the tide flowed in.
I have used a moulding paste to add texture to the canvas, and the painted with acrylics and used pastels to add highlights in this piece of work.
